Jack Vance Cover Illustration: Freitzke's Turn, A Miro Hetzel Novel.

Faurence Dacre is a name within fictional surgical spheres that you wouldn't wish to get involved with... I know that he wouldn't be my first pick if I needed any kind of surgery, be it fringe or mainstream. Within the Science-Fiction universe of Jack Vance's Miro Hetzel 'Galactic Effectuator', this diabolical individual is a dangerous and sociopathic individual who serves as the novels' antagonist; you couldn't trust him with life, or limb! The subject matter for this Cover Illustration intersects with the macabre and the gruesome, but capturing the unhinged doctor in illustration for Jack and John Vance, and Koen Vyverman at Spatterlight Press was a good hit out for me into deeper waters with book Cover Art. I did this one a fair while ago also, and it shows, but we are ever learning and growing as artists, armed with new experiences, and this was a truly handy experience for me :) Thanks again to my friends at Spatterlight Press!
